Six Hands Three Minds One Heart. There's no question what sets this particular heart beating: Jazz. The real, no-nonsense thing, with no bowing and scraping to what's popular at any given moment.
The repertoire includes well-known jazz standards and ballads and compositions by Vinding and Dahl - and a wonderful rendition of an old Danish song.
First of all the three musicians constitute a trio - one single organism - with tremendous intensity, energy and vigour. This trio is not merely a pianist, a bass player and a drummer; it's one unit - one mind - which is ready and willing to concentrate fully on the music in an attempt to find its essence.

The meeting between the giants, Thigpen and Lovano, was not just a one-off "blowing session". Before the two days' live recording at Copenhagen JazzHouse, Thigpen, Dahl, Bodilsen and Lovano toured for about a week. The selected compositions by Ed, Joe, Carsten and Jesper suited them all perfectly, and there was exceptional mutual inspiration. The best tunes from the recordings are ready now. Enjoy!

Her passionate and sensual voice carries the expressive lyrics beautifully. The original plays on words and the presence of her voice often call attention to vulnerability as a human strength. At other times the lyrics are about the joy of life in all its aspects.
